Spectrumcore is an independently operated Matrix homeserver for a small community. It offers an alternative to closed messaging platforms while keeping responsibility close, visible, and human.

01 / JOINING

Account Setup

  1. With your Matrix client of choice, you can change the server URL from matrix.org. Refer to the "Homeserver" heading and the top right of this page
  2. You should be prompted to create an account on your default browser. Pick a username and create a password. [PLEASE SAVE YOUR CREDENTIALS SECURELY]
  3. Once logged in, you should be placed in our landing page: #welcome:spectrumcore-node.uk. If not, you can manually join the room via the room's address or by searching "Welcome!"


  4. IMPORTANT: E-MAIL ACCOUNT PAIRING NOT YET IMPLEMENTED! WE CANNOT HANDLE AUTOMATED PASSWORD RESETS!
    If you lost your password, please E-Mail: [email protected] to request account recovery.

Use an existing account

Already on Matrix? You do not need a Spectrumcore account to talk with people or join a room that permits federation.

Spectrumcore is not presented as a large public service. It is a personal, carefully managed proof of concept & small community.
